Holiday work - Part 2: Deepening your learning experiences ( Observation 1,2,3 and 4)

Observation 1 :

Going to the toilet became a chore for the elderly as most of the toilets are wet and slippery. Causing the elderly to slip and fall, injuring themselves. I suggest that we sho : uld replace the normal tiles on the ground in the toilet to those tiles specially made for more friction purposes.

Observation 2 :

There are no metal railings or poles in most of the lifts. The elderly may lose her/his balance and fall as the lift might be jerky at times. Therefore, I suggest we modify the lifts with some railings or poles.

Observation 3 :

Most of the sofas have sharp and solid edges that may hurt the elderly. They might trip and fall again. But this times, their foot sure hurts more. I suggest that we should have smoother surfaces or instead of a sharp edge, we don't we make it to a round shape?

Observation 4 :

Outside, there are more stairs than slopes. Elderly in wheelchair or have difficulties moving down or up will have a big big problem.
